BRISTOL MAN ASHLEY THOMAS DOYLE SHOCKINGLY KICKS DOG KEISHA IN BRISTOL NEIGHBORHOOD

In a disturbing case that has shocked the local community in Bristol, a man named Ashley Thomas Doyle has been found guilty of committing an animal welfare offence involving his pet dog, Keisha. The incident, which drew the attention of vigilant residents and animal welfare authorities, took place when Doyle was inside his vehicle, specifically in the boot of his car, with Keisha confined within.

According to reports, a concerned eyewitness observed Doyle opening the trunk of his car, where Keisha was kept, and then violently kicking her three times before closing the boot again. This act of cruelty was witnessed by someone who immediately reported the incident to the authorities, prompting an investigation by the RSPCA. The investigation confirmed the eyewitness account, leading to Doyle’s arrest and subsequent prosecution.

At Bristol Magistrates Court, Doyle, aged 26 and residing on Gatehouse Avenue in the Withywood area, pleaded guilty to the animal welfare offence. The court’s ruling included a ban on him keeping any animals for a period of ten years. This restriction is non-appealable for the first seven years, emphasizing the seriousness of his misconduct. The court also imposed a 12-month community order on Doyle, which includes up to 20 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, aimed at addressing behavioral issues and promoting responsible pet ownership.

Furthermore, Doyle was ordered to pay costs amounting to £400, along with a victim surcharge of £114. As part of the legal proceedings, the RSPCA took custody of Keisha, who was subsequently signed over for rehoming, ensuring her safety and well-being moving forward. Doyle expressed remorse for his actions, claiming that he was 'stressed' at the time of the incident, and he acknowledged his wrongdoing.

RSPCA Inspector Simon Coombs commented on the case, stating, 'We’re extremely grateful when people report animal welfare concerns to us and share any evidence they have that can help our investigations.' The case highlights the importance of community vigilance and the role of animal welfare organizations in protecting vulnerable animals from cruelty and neglect.
