MAN, 75, SEXUALLY ASSAULTED GIRL, 11, ON SEASIDE CAMPING TRIP
A 75-year-old man, Arthur Baker, came up behind an 11-year-old girl and sexually assaulted her on a camping trip near Cromer.
Norwich Crown Court heard Baker approached the girl from behind, "put his arm around her waist", and then "put his other hand down her trousers" before touching her genital area.
The child ran off and later told her family.
Baker, who admitted to sexually assaulting a child under 13, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison.
The judge highlighted the seriousness of the offence, noting the "serious psychological effect" on the young victim.
Baker was also ordered to stay away from the victim and her mother for 10 years, placed on the sexual harm prevention order, and added to the sex offenders' register indefinitely.
