ARRON JACKSON SENTENCED TO SIX AND A HALF YEARS IN PRISON IN READING FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT
Arron Jackson, a 29-year-old man from Grovelands Road in Reading, has been sentenced to six and a half years in prison following his conviction for rape.The incident occurred at a Berkshire property where Jackson had gone to watch a film.
The woman, who fell asleep during the visit, awoke to find Jackson raping her.
He immediately left the scene afterward.
Jackson was charged with rape in 2020 and was convicted by a majority jury at Reading Crown Court in April.
Last week, he appeared before Aylesbury Crown Court to receive his sentence, which also includes a requirement to sign the Sex Offenders' Register.
Detective Constable Kevin Godding of Thames Valley Police commented, “I am pleased that Jackson has been convicted and sentenced for his crime.
The victim has shown great courage to come forward and report this crime, and I would like to thank her for supporting our investigation leading to Jackson’s imprisonment.” He added, “I hope that this conviction shows that Thames Valley Police will do all it can to investigate sexual offences and bring offenders to justice.”
