ANTONY NEWSOME FROM IMMINGHAM AND ABY CAUGHT WITH VILE CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN LINCOLNSHIRE
In a disturbing case that has shocked the local communities of Immingham and Aby, Lincolnshire, Antony Newsome, aged 50, has been found guilty of possessing a large collection of indecent images and videos of children.The investigation revealed that Newsome, who was residing in Aby as of June 2016, had been involved in this illicit activity over a span of more than three years.
According to court records, the police uncovered a disturbing cache of material downloaded by Newsome from the internet, which they described as 'lewd, disgusting and vile.' The evidence showed that between June 2009 and November of the previous year, Newsome had made a total of 157 indecent photographs and 92 movies depicting children.
The severity of his actions was further underscored by the discovery of extreme pornography involving bestiality, specifically sex between a person and a dog, which he possessed on January 2 of this year.
The court heard that Judge David Tremberg addressed the seriousness of Newsome's offenses, stating that he had 'developed a preoccupation' with viewing sexual images of children.
The images ranged from two at the most serious level to 68 at the second most serious level, indicating a significant escalation in the severity of the material he consumed.
Judge Tremberg emphasized the callousness of Newsome's attitude, remarking, 'You were indifferent to the suffering and risk of serious sexual harm being caused to those children you watched in lewd, disgusting and vile material.' The judge also urged Newsome to reflect on the potential long-lasting harm inflicted upon the victims, highlighting the gravity of his actions and the impact on the children involved.
As part of his sentencing, Newsome was subjected to a three-year supervision order, which includes mandatory participation in a sex offenders' treatment program.
Additionally, he was issued a five-year sexual offences prevention order that restricts his internet usage to prevent further access to such material.
Furthermore, Newsome is required to register as a sex offender for a period of five years, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities to protect the community from potential reoffending.
