SPENNYMOOR MAN ANTHONY BARTLE ADMITS CHILD SEX OFFENCE
Anthony Paul Bartle, from Spennymoor, has pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court to engaging in sexual communication with a child.The plea was entered during a hearing on 14 October 2025.
The case, originally scheduled for trial in March 2027, has been vacated following the guilty plea.
Bartle is now required to register with the police under the Sexual Offences Act 2003 while the case remains pending.
The matter has been adjourned to 1 December 2025 at Teesside Crown Court for sentencing.
Reports will be prepared ahead of that date to assist the court in determining an appropriate sentence.
Witnesses in the case have been thanked for their cooperation and informed that they are no longer required to attend the trial following Bartle’s admission of guilt.
