RAPIST WHO TRACKED WOMAN THROUGH TOWN JAILED

A man found guilty of the rape of a woman he followed through Slough town centre hours before attacking her has been jailed.

Anthony Collins, 35, from Slough, was captured by CCTV tracking the woman and sharing his contact details with her.

He later plied her with alcohol and raped her on 12 November 2024.

He was arrested a week later and found guilty of rape at Reading Crown Court on 17 November 2025 and not guilty of one count of oral rape and one count of sexual assault by penetration.

Collins was jailed to 10 years in prison with a three-year extended licence period at Reading Crown Court on Thursday.

He was also given an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Det Con Sykes from Thames Valley Police stated: "The victim in this case has shown immense bravery throughout this investigation and we thank her for her continued support, patience and the faith she has placed in the criminal justice system." "Collins' sentencing is a testament to the commitment of TVP to bring to justice sexual offenders and to make our streets a safe place for everyone," she added.

"I would also like to reassure the public that we will always look to prosecute anyone who commits sexual offences, recent or non-recent.
