ANTHONY BOYD SENTENCED TO 18 YEARS IN PRISON IN KIDDERMINSTER FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE-RELATED OFFENSES
A man has received an 18-year prison sentence for charges related to domestic violence, including attempted murder, in Kidderminster. Anthony Boyd, aged 37, of Hewell Lane, Redditch, was sentenced at Worcester Crown Court on October 15, 2021. The case originates from an incident on October 14, 2020, when West Mercia Police responded to reports of a woman being stabbed at Oldington Trading Estate, Kidderminster. Officers discovered that Boyd had already left the scene. The woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with injuries described as life-changing, though she was later allowed to go home. In the following days, Boyd was located in Somerset and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He later pleaded guilty to attempted murder, stalking, and coercive control.
