ANGEL REGIS FROM BRIDPORT SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC SEXUAL ASSAULT ON ELDERLY WOMAN IN DORSET

A care worker named Angelo Regis has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after committing a heinous sexual assault against an elderly woman he was entrusted to care for. The victim, a woman in her 80s, endured a terrifying and horrific ordeal at the hands of Regis, who was working as her caregiver at the time of the incident. During his visit, while the woman was in the bathroom, Regis took advantage of the situation by locking the front door behind him and following her into the bathroom. It was there that he subjected her to a sexual assault. The assault escalated further when Regis attempted to rape her in her bedroom, turning what should have been a routine care visit into a nightmare for the victim.

The woman, showing remarkable courage, reported the assault to the police two days later. Law enforcement officers responded swiftly, and Regis was arrested on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Despite his initial denial of the charges, forensic evidence, including DNA linking him to the scene, led to his formal charges being filed the following day.
