ASHLEY PAULLEY FROM BRIDPORT FACES SERIOUS SEX OFFENCE CHARGES

In June 2021, Ashley Paulley, also known as Ashley Pauley, a 20-year-old resident of Court Close in Bridport, was involved in a legal case concerning serious allegations.

Paulley admitted to three separate counts related to inappropriate and unlawful conduct involving a minor.

Specifically, he confessed to engaging in acts that involved intentionally touching a girl who was only 14 years old.

During the proceedings, it was acknowledged that Paulley did not reasonably believe the girl was aged 16 or over at the time of the incident, which is a crucial element in such cases.

The nature of the touching was deemed sexual, further aggravating the severity of the charges.

Following his admission, the court imposed a community order on Paulley.

This order requires him to participate in rehabilitation activities aimed at addressing his conduct and to complete 100 hours of unpaid work within the community.

Additionally, a restraining order was issued to prevent him from approaching or contacting the victim.

Furthermore, Paulley was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £95, which is a standard part of sentencing meant to support victims of crime.
