WEST LONDON MAN CONVICTED OF VAGINAL RAPE AFTER EXPLOITING VULNERABLE WOMAN

Andrew Collins, of Beechwood Avenue, Greenford, attacked a vulnerable woman in Slough on November 12 last year after plying her with alcohol.

CCTV footage showed him following the woman and convincing her to exchange contact details, leading to the assault during their meeting.

Collins was arrested a week later and charged.

He was found guilty of one count of vaginal rape of a female on November 17 after a 6-day trial at Reading Crown Court.

He was found not guilty of oral rape and sexual assault by penetration.

Collins is due to be sentenced on January 16, 2026.

Thames Valley Police praised the victim's bravery and their commitment to bringing offenders to justice.
