NORFOLK MAN ADMITS DOZENS OF 'UPSKIRTING' SEX OFFENCES OVER FIVE YEAR PERIOD
A man has admitted more than 40 sexual offences, the majority of which involve filming or taking pictures up girls' skirts over a five-year period.Andrew Bird, 55, formerly of Trowse but with an address on Scotch Hill Road, Taverham, appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday.
He faced three charges of observing a person doing a private act, and was charged with 17 counts of recording images under clothing to observe another without consent, and 18 counts of operating equipment under clothing of another without consent.
Bird pleaded guilty to all 41 charges when he appeared in court.
District Judge Matthew Bone stated the matters were "too serious for this court to sentence" and sent Bird's case to the crown court.
The case will be heard at Norwich Crown Court in the week of May 26.
A pre-sentence report was ordered, and Bird was granted conditional bail.
