STOWMARKET MAN WHO HAD 'DISTURBING' IMAGES OF CHILDREN SENTENCED
AFTER CONVICTION, Alfie started using the name Sharman A 22-year-old man from Stowmarket, who possessed distressing indecent images of children and extreme pornography on his mobile device, has been sentenced to a community order.During the hearing, Judge David Wilson stated that the material was discovered on Stinson's iPhone and consisted of 22 still images depicting children and 99 videos.
The judge highlighted that these images and clips contained disturbing content involving the abuse of young children aged between three and five.
Prosecutor Juliet Donovan, representing the Crown at Ipswich Crown Court on Tuesday (March 18), explained that police officers responded to information and visited Stinson’s residence on June 15, 2022, where they confiscated his iPhone.
Stinson, who resides in Woodcote, Stowmarket, pleaded guilty to three charges: producing indecent images of children, possessing extreme pornographic material, and possessing prohibited images.
He was sentenced to a two-year community order, required to participate in 20 days of rehabilitative activities, complete a 40-session program, and perform 250 hours of unpaid work.
Additionally, he was subjected to a sexual harm prevention order for five years and ordered to register as a sex offender during the same period.
Jo Morris, representing Stinson, argued that her client was genuinely remorseful and that he was only 19 at the time of the offenses.
She also mentioned that he was deemed suitable for a community order aimed at addressing his behavioral issues.
