WOMAN USES BROKEN GLASS TO ATTACK EX AND HURLS BRICK AT HIS WINDOW
A woman, Alexa Hatton, used broken glass to attack her ex-partner during a dispute, a court heard. The incident occurred at the victim's residence in Manchester Road, Crosland Moor.
Hatton had been in a three-year relationship with the victim, which ended in April.
According to prosecutor Shamalia Qureshi, on June 8, Hatton called the victim and asked him to arrange a taxi to pick her up from his home.
When he refused and told her not to come, she still arrived.
The prosecutor stated that she was verbally abusive, attempted to throw a wine bottle at the victim's head but missed, then grabbed a glass from the coffee table and threw it.
Hatton allegedly picked up the broken glass, seized the victim, and pressed it into his forearm, causing a four-inch cut.
The incident also involved her spitting at the victim, hitting him in the chest and face, and outside the house, throwing a brick at a window.
Hatton pleaded not guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm and criminal damage.
Her trial is scheduled for October 2 at Huddersfield court, and she is currently on conditional bail, with restrictions not to contact the victim or come within 100 yards of his address.
