SEX OFFENDER WHO TARGETED WOMEN AS THEY SLEPT JAILED FOR SIX YEARS
A sex offender identified as Alex Slocombe, aged 23, from Padgate, has been sentenced to six years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court after admitting to three counts of sexual assault. The attacks involved two women on different occasions, one in 2017 and another last year. Slocombe, residing at Duxford Court, received a restraining order that prohibits him from contacting his victims indefinitely and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life. Detective constable Joe Davies stated, “This conviction sends a clear message about consent and the associated consequences. The offender’s actions had a profound and long-lasting impact on both victims. They have both struggled to come to terms with what happened to them and are still very much affected by what Slocombe did. Hopefully, the result today can go some way to helping the victims feel a sense of justice, and I hope they can start to move forward with their lives in the near future.” The police have not released a custody picture of Slocombe.
