A FORMER Tory council candidate has been convicted of stalking his ex-lover after she gave birth to a baby daughter.

Rest Home owner Alan Leaver, who runs the Oaklands rest home in Marchwood, was imposed a restraining order by New Forest magistrates.
The order bans him from having any contact with his ex-lover Victoria Brown, her boyfriend Clive Thomas, and her baby daughter Megan.
Leaver, 49, of Veals Lane, Marchwood, was fined £100 and told to pay £400 court costs.
He stood as a Conservative candidate for both the county and New Forest District Council but was defeated.
During the court proceedings, it was revealed that Leaver had a history of harassment, including nuisance phone calls, confrontations outside Hythe Hospital, and incidents in a pet shop and at her home.
Witnesses included his wife Patricia, who stated he had several calls from Miss Brown, and Leaver admitted ringing a hotel to speak to her boyfriend.
Leaver was found guilty of harassing Victoria Brown following the birth of her baby in June.
He was warned that breaching the restraining order could lead to imprisonment.
Leaver left court vowing to appeal.
