GRANTHAM SEX OFFENDER ALAN HENNEBERRY JAILED FOR SEVERE CRIMES AGAINST CHILDREN
A man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted of multiple serious sexual offences against children.Alan Robert Henneberry, from Grantham, committed these crimes in 2019 and 2020 involving two victims who were under 13 years old.
His conviction followed a trial held at Lincoln Crown Court on 16 September.
Lincolnshire Police described the offences as some of the most severe and caused significant harm to the children involved.
Henneberry was charged with two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, one count of sexual activity in the presence of a child, and sexual assault of a child by sexual touching.
He had also previously admitted to possessing, making, and distributing indecent images of children.
The police emphasized that he had been added to the sex offenders register for life and that he will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
Det Con Helen Morris from Lincolnshire Police’s protecting vulnerable persons unit stated, "There is no length of sentence that could make up for the actions of this man.
He is guilty of some of the most grave offences, causing the most serious harm to children." The police paid tribute to the victims and witnesses whose strength helped secure his conviction.
