GRANTHAM MAN JAILED FOR DOMESTIC ASSAULT AND ABUSE OFFENSES

A man named Shayne Eaton, aged 44, from Melbourne Road in Grantham, has been sentenced to jail following a domestic assault incident that occurred on Christmas Day.

Eaton was arrested by police after a report of assault took place in the Cherry Orchard area.

He later admitted guilt to several serious charges including intentional suffocation, actual bodily harm, intentional strangulation, and criminal damage during a court hearing at Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday, June 17.

The court sentenced him to 20 months in custody for his actions.

Additionally, Eaton had previously appeared at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on December 26, 2024, where he was fined £197 for failing to provide a breath specimen.
