KIDDERMINSTER MAN JAILED FOR LIFE FOR WIFE’S MURDER
Alan Evans, aged 35 and residing in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, was found guilty of killing his wife Louise Evans by pushing her down a staircase in July 2012.The tragedy occurred after Mrs Evans uncovered her husband's affair with teaching assistant Amanda Chadwick.
The court proceedings revealed that Louise was discovered at the foot of the stairs with 46 injuries, and pathologist Dr.
Alexander Kolar testified that her injuries indicated she had likely been assaulted.
The prosecution stated that Mrs Evans had confronted Ms Chadwick after discovering a phone bill with thousands of text messages exchanged with her husband.
This confrontation appeared to have prompted Evans to push her down the stairs, attempting to disguise the fall as an accident.
Evans was sentenced by Worcester Crown Court to a minimum of 17 years behind bars.
Family members, including Mrs Evans' mother Judy Bollen, shared their grief and sense of injustice, highlighting she would never see her daughters grow up and described Louise as a 'brilliant mum'.
