Bristol Oxford Sexual Abuser Rapist 224 Views 0 Comments RR75259

SEXUAL PREDATOR WHO ATTACKED WOMAN IS JAILED

A man known as ‘Peaches,’ who had previously been convicted of rape, was described as a ‘dangerous sexual predator’ after he violently assaulted a woman inside her residence.

Ahmed ‘Peaches’ Said was on supervised release after serving an eight-year sentence from 2019 for a stranger rape in Bristol.

Early on December 17 last year, he encountered his victim on Park End Street in Oxford.

He then proceeded to attack her at her home, causing blood to be splattered across the walls.

The woman was able to escape only after stabbing her thumb into Said’s eye.

In her impact statement, she expressed doubts about her ability to recover fully, stating: “I hope - but I doubt – I will ever be the same person again.” Judge Nigel Daly sentenced him to 51 months in prison and extended his license period by nine months.

The judge dismissed Said’s claim that the assault was not motivated by sexual intent.

“I see no reason to believe otherwise but that your actions were driven by a desire to sexually assault this woman,” said the judge.

He added, “Your attempt failed, but the only logical explanation for your attack, given the circumstances, is an attempt at sexual violence.” Judge Daly further remarked that Said perceives young, intoxicated women as vulnerable targets for exploitation, especially of a sexual nature, describing him as an “extremely dangerous sexual predator.” The incident started when Said met the woman while waiting for a taxi on Park End Street.

He was with a friend, and they shared a taxi to East Oxford before heading into the woman’s flat, where the men waited for another cab.

After drinking tequila at her flat, the two men left, but Said returned later.

Despite lawyers denying he left his phone intentionally to mislead, he had previously left his phone behind at the scene.

Prosecutor Jonathan Stone stated that Said told the woman he would stay the night.

She told him to leave, but he refused and moved closer, pressing her against the wall and touching her body and legs.

He lifted her dress and grabbed her thigh, with the prosecutor implying that Said’s conduct was sexual in nature.

He also allegedly strangled her, pulled her hair, and banged her head against the wall, causing her to fall onto her back.

The victim escaped only after gouging Said’s eye, eventually fleeing to a neighbor’s house, where she was described as barefoot, distraught, crying, and covered in blood.

She later received medical treatment at John Radcliffe Hospital, where examinations revealed over 50 injuries consistent with a severe assault.

Said, formerly of Clarks Row, Oxford, claimed he had acted in self-defence, but this was not accepted by the prosecution.

Previously known as Clarks Row, Oxford, Said faced more serious charges but admitted to causing actual bodily harm just before trial.

This offence carries a maximum sentence of five years.

His criminal record includes 15 convictions, notably for robbery and a particularly violent rape in Bristol, where he also left his phone at the scene, which the victim used to call emergency services.

In mitigation, his lawyer, Sumita Mahtab-Shaikh, stated that Said was ‘ashamed’ of his actions.

She also noted that during his time in custody, he had gained enhanced prisoner status, secured a cleaning job, and hoped to pursue further courses.

Her plea highlighted his awareness of his need to change, acknowledging that he is aware he faces a severe penalty today.
