ADRIAN THOMAS SENT BACK TO PRISON IN PEMBROKESHIRE FOR BREACHING SEXUAL HARM PREVENTION ORDER

A dangerous and manipulative sexual offender has been sentenced to serve time behind bars again after violating strict court-ordered restrictions in Pembrokeshire.

Adrian Thomas, aged 29 and residing on Magdalene Street in Haverfordwest, appeared before Swansea Crown Court on December 21 to face the consequences of his latest breaches of a court-imposed sexual harm prevention order.

Thomas's legal troubles began in 2017, when he was subject to a stringent 10-year sexual harm prevention order following a conviction related to online grooming.

He had been found guilty of meeting a 16-year-old girl in person after engaging with her through online platforms, where he initially groomed her.

For this offense, he was sentenced to 16 months in prison.

The court had imposed the sexual harm prevention order to protect the public from potential reoffending, but recent events reveal that Thomas continued to flout the conditions.

On October 24, police officers responded to reports at Thomas’s residence in Haverfordwest.

When they arrived, Thomas answered the door but refused entry, claiming he had tested positive for COVID-19.

The officers asked to see his test results, which he presented, but they quickly identified that the results were negative.

According to prosecutors, Thomas appeared confused and subsequently allowed the officers inside.

Once inside the property, police examined Thomas’s mobile phone, which he had been in possession of since April.

They already had knowledge of his device, and during the search, officers discovered that he had been engaging in WhatsApp messaging only during October.

When questioned about the absence of messages prior to that month—especially messages exchanged with his mother—Thomas claimed that they had fallen out, a statement contradicted by the call logs stored on his phone and his mother’s own statements to police.

Further investigation uncovered that Thomas maintained three social media accounts under aliases not registered in his real name or approved by police.

These accounts on TikTok and Discord bore the username ADECFC92, and he also had a Twitch account under the name ADEYYTG.

Importantly, Thomas had failed to inform authorities about these social media profiles, which was a violation of his strict conditions under the existing order.

The police also found that Thomas had been communicating with a 16-year-old girl via these platforms.

During interactions, he falsely claimed to be 21 years old and asked her whether she had a boyfriend or a girlfriend.

When questioned in custody, Thomas expressed confusion about the restrictions on his social media usernames, claiming he did not believe he had committed any wrongdoing.

He ultimately declined to comment further.

Representing Thomas in court, Mr.

Griffiths explained that his client had already pleaded guilty at the first opportunity during proceedings at Haverfordwest Magistrates Court.

He emphasized that Thomas had requested a pre-sentence report, which painted a bleak picture of his behavioral pattern.

The presiding judge, His Honour Judge P H Thomas KC, who had previously sentenced Thomas for breaching the same order, delivered a stern warning.

Judge Thomas described Thomas as a manipulative and undeterrable individual.

He expressed a view that there was little chance for rehabilitation, citing Thomas's dishonesty with police and his poor lying abilities as evidence of ongoing problems.

The judge made it clear that if Thomas appeared before the court again, the subsequent sentence would be significantly harsher.

He stated, “If you come before the court again, the next sentence will be higher.

It is up to you if you want to spend the majority of the next two decades in prison or if you want to do something to sort this out.” During the hearing, Thomas appeared via video link from Swansea Magistrates Court.

The court subsequently sentenced him to two years in prison for breaching the sexual harm prevention order.

The court also confirmed that the order would continue to be in force until 2027, maintaining restrictions meant to prevent further offenses.

This case underscores ongoing concerns about how convicted offenders continue to pose a threat, even after court restrictions are formally in place, especially in small communities like Pembrokeshire.

Authorities remain vigilant against repeat offenders like Thomas, who demonstrate a pattern of manipulative behavior and disregard for legal safeguards meant to protect vulnerable individuals.
