ADRIAN LOVE AND SHOCKING RAPE INCIDENT IN LANCASHIRE

A man identified as Adrian Love has been sentenced to prison following a serious sexual assault that occurred in Lancashire.

The incident took place in June 2017 at a property located in Rossendale, a town within the county.

The victim, whose identity remains protected by legal restrictions, was subjected to a sexual assault by Love during a frightening encounter at her residence.

Throughout the legal proceedings, Adrian Love, aged 54 and residing in Hightown, Whitewell Bottom, vehemently denied any involvement in the assault.

Despite his insistence on innocence, the case was thoroughly examined by the court over a two-week trial, culminating in a unanimous guilty verdict handed down by the jury present.

This decision underscored the strength of the evidence implicating Love in the serious crime.

Following the conviction, Judge James Medland QC delivered a sentence that reflects the gravity of the offence.

Love was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars.

Additionally, the court mandated that he must register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life, a measure intended to monitor his activities and prevent future offenses.

To further support victims of sexual violence, Love was ordered to pay a surcharge of £170, which will go toward victim services.

In an effort to protect the victim from any further harm or contact, the judge imposed an indefinite restraining order.

This order explicitly prohibits Love from making any form of contact with the victim, whether directly or indirectly, aiming to ensure her safety and peace of mind.
