A man from Swansea has received a prison sentence after engaging in sexual communications with individuals he thought were underage girls.
Adrian Fine, aged 43 and from the city centre, exchanged sexual messages with three online profiles in March 2025.
These profiles were actually operated by a ‘paedophile hunter’ organization as decoys.
Having admitted to three counts of attempting to engage in sexual communication with minors, Fine was sentenced to one year behind bars.
Detective Constable Kelly Hurley commented on the case, stating: “Adrian Fine believed entirely that the accounts he was messaging belonged to children.
“It is still shocking that someone like Fine would continue to pursue a sexual dialogue even after being informed that they are communicating with a minor.
“Given his actions, it’s clear he poses a danger to children, and a prison sentence is the appropriate response.”
