SWANSEA PAEDOPHILE HANDED 30-YEAR EXTENDED SENTENCE FOR ABUSE
A "manipulative and predatory" paedophile groomed young children and subjected them to a campaign of abuse, a court has heard.
Adam Davies sexually abused two young girls on multiple occasions and repeatedly raped a young boy over a period of years.
The court learned that the offending came to light when one victim confided in someone she trusted, leading to police investigation and the identification of further victims.
Davies, of Odo Street, Hafod, Swansea, was arrested but denied the allegations.
He was convicted of four counts of rape of a child, two counts of assault by penetration, eight counts of sexual assault of a child, two counts of causing a child to engage in a sexual act, two counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, and three counts of possessing indecent images.
He has no prior convictions.
The judge described him as a dangerous offender who posed a significant risk to children, and he was sentenced to a 30-year extended sentence (26 years in custody plus 4 years on licence).
Davies will be a registered sex offender for life and subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
