A RAPIST has admitted attacking a woman in a Leigh street.
The offender, Aaron Miller, a 25-year-old man from Delhi Road, Basildon, London, has pleaded guilty to the charge of raping a 46-year-old woman in London Road on the evening of Sunday March 21.
He had previously denied the offence and was standing trial at Basildon Crown Court.
The court heard that he also stood trial accused of sexually assaulting a 35-year-old woman in Chichester Road, Southend, during the Summer of 2008, but the prosecution offered no evidence, and this charge was dropped.
Miller was remanded in custody to be sentenced on November 18.
