PONTARDDULAIS MAN TO STAND TRIAL FOR COERCIVE CONTROL AND ASSAULT
Aaron Cann, aged 30, of Clos Maes Yr Ysgol in Pontarddulais, has been charged with multiple offences related to his treatment of his partner.
He has been accused of controlling or coercive behaviour against his partner during the period from October to April.
The prosecution claims that Cann instilled fear of violence in his partner on at least two occasions, threatened to damage her property by fire, made threats towards her, and persistently knocked on her doors and windows when he visited her home.
Additionally, Cann faces allegations of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and strangulation against the same woman, with these incidents allegedly occurring on March 29.
Cann pleaded not guilty to all charges and is scheduled for a trial starting on September 23 at Swansea Crown Court.
Until then, he remains in custody.
