Motherwell rapist jailed for sex attack on mother

MOTHERWELL RAPIST JAILED FOR SEX ATTACK ON MOTHER

Rapist Aaron Beresford was sentenced to six years in prison after committing a sexual assault on a mother in her home in Motherwell last March.

The victim recorded threats made by Beresford on her phone just moments before he attacked her.

During the court proceedings, Beresford was led from the dock shouting and accusing the victim of lying, saying “she’s a f****** liar.” The assault occurred while her children were upstairs asleep, after Beresford demanded sex at the door.

The victim managed to film him making vile remarks before the assault.

She testified that she did not believe he would follow through on his threats and tried to push him off when he attacked, saying “It did not work, I was telling him no.” After escaping, she told her mother about the incident.

Beresford denied the charges, claiming he was set up and that the victim wanted him to make those remarks—a claim that the prosecution dismissed as ‘utterly ridiculous.’ Upon the guilty verdict, Beresford reacted hysterically, shouting, “Rapists are disgusting, I f***ing hate them.

I didn’t do any of this.” Judge Sean Murphy QC stated that Beresford committed one of the most serious crimes in criminal law and sentenced him accordingly.
