HYDE WOMAN JAILED FOR STABBING BOYFRIEND TO DEATH
Katie Yeomans, aged 28, was involved in a fatal incident that resulted in the death of her boyfriend, Rees Howarth.During a domestic dispute, Yeomans was initially charged with murder but later pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of loss of control.
Police arrived at her home in Hyde, Greater Manchester, on 23 April after reports of a disturbance.
There, they discovered Mr.
Howarth with a fatal stab wound to his upper chest.
Following her arrest, Yeomans was sentenced to five years and three months imprisonment at Manchester Crown Court.
On the day of the incident, she had been out with friends in Oldham town center, then returned home where she continued drinking with Mr.
Howarth.

Mr.
Howarth’s family described him as an outgoing and lively individual, known for his sense of humor and caring nature, emphasizing that he was a “larger-than-life character” who will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
