DOUBLE RAPIST ZEESHAN ALI JAILED FOR 12 YEARS IN TEESSIDE
A double rapist has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for heinous and "deeply disturbing" assaults on two prostitutes in Teesside.Zeeshan Ali, aged 21 and formerly residing on Grange Road in Thornaby, was convicted of two counts of rape, robbery, making threats to kill, and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The court heard that Ali raped his first victim twice at knifepoint, threatening to kill her and making a chilling remark that her body would be fed to pigs.
He left her with the comment, "You want to get another job," before six weeks later robbing her of her handbag.
He also attacked a second prostitute, demanding a "freebie" and slashing her arm with a knife.
The judge branded him "arrogant" and emphasized that he is a "very real danger to vulnerable young women," imposing a five-year extended license period for careful monitoring.
Ali denied all charges but was found guilty by a jury last month.
The judge highlighted that Ali, who comes from a respectable background, lacked warmth and had a "contemptuous obsession" with young women in vulnerable situations.
The case was described as deeply disturbing, with Ali previously having no significant trouble before these crimes.
Detective Constable Kenny Clark commented that Ali is dangerous and has shown no remorse.
Victim Kelly Steer, who was slashed by Ali, welcomed the sentence, stating, "He is a very dangerous man.
He needs to be off the streets," warning other women of the dangers posed by such men.
