PAEDOPHILE BUSTED IN POLICE SEARCH
An individual from Dundee has been placed on the sex offenders registry after police found a collection of disturbing images.Zakk Morrison admitted to producing or possessing illegal child images at a court session held at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Officers with a warrant arrived at his former home at 8:35am on March 15 last year, with Morrison stating, “I’ve got stuff on my phone that I got sent.” The police uncovered evidence of 25 photographs of young girls aged three to seven, some classified as the most graphic type.
According to prosecutor Stephanie Paterson, these files had not been accessible to Morrison at the time but were visible on the device previously.
Further examination revealed 50 images in Category A, 43 in Category B, 14 in Category C, along with 50 borderline files.
The files’ creation dates ranged from as early as August 2022.
The sheriff, Gregor Murray, ordered Morrison, who is 19, to register as a sex offender, and he also ordered the phone to be confiscated.
The sentencing was deferred until April 24, pending additional background checks.
