Further investigations revealed that Rutter exchanged a series of highly disturbing images and messages with the minor.
Among these were videos depicting babies being raped, a revelation that highlights the grotesque nature of his online activities.
The offender also engaged in sexual conversations where he discussed the possibility of the boy watching acts of bestiality, adding another layer of depravity to his offenses.

The police were prompted to act after the victim’s mother expressed concern over her child's online interactions with Rutter.

These devices contained hundreds of indecent images of children, with some classified as Category A, depicting babies under 12 months being raped by adults.

During the legal proceedings, he pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, possession and distribution of indecent images, and engaging in sexual communication with a minor.

In sentencing, the court imposed a prison term of five years and four months.
Additionally, Rutter was given an extended license period of three years, which means he will be under supervision after his release.
