WILLIAM NOBLE FROM CHAPEL ALLERTON ESCAPES JAIL AFTER CHILD INDECENCY PICTURES SCANDAL IN TAUNTON

In a case that has sent shockwaves through the local community of Chapel Allerton, William Noble, a 63-year-old resident, was brought before Taunton Magistrates Court in September 2018 to face serious allegations involving the possession and distribution of indecent images of children. The court proceedings revealed that Noble had engaged in online activities that involved sharing and viewing explicit material depicting minors, raising significant concerns about child safety and online exploitation.

According to court records, police investigations were initiated after receiving credible information about an individual operating under the pseudonym 'KINDGIRL' in internet chatrooms. This user was found to be involved in discussions and exchanges of photographic and video content that depicted child abuse. Authorities traced the online activity back to William Noble’s residence in Chapel Allerton, where they discovered that he had accessed the chatroom multiple times between December 2015 and May 2016.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Noble had expressed a disturbing interest in children and their sexual abuse within these online conversations. The police found evidence on his Apple MacBook, which was subsequently confiscated and ordered to be destroyed to prevent further misuse. The court heard that Noble had admitted to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child and one count of possessing indecent images of a child, charges that carry serious legal implications.

In sentencing, the magistrates opted for a relatively lenient punishment considering the gravity of the offense. William Noble was handed a six-month prison sentence, which was suspended for a period of time, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed another offense within that period. Additionally, he was ordered to pay £200 in court costs. As part of the court’s measures to prevent future harm, Noble was also subjected to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order that will remain in effect for five years, restricting his access to certain online platforms and activities.

Furthermore, the court mandated the forfeiture and destruction of the Apple MacBook involved in the case, emphasizing the importance of removing such devices from circulation to prevent further illegal activity. Noble, who resides on Front Street in Chapel Allerton, was also subject to ongoing monitoring to ensure compliance with the court’s orders and to safeguard the community from potential harm.
