WILLIAM JONES FROM BROMYARD TO BE SENTENCED FOR CHILD ONLINE GROOMING
A man from Bromyard, William Jones, 37, began chatting online with a decoy who was posing as an underage girl.
Jones asked her whether her breasts had grown, whether she had had sex, and told her to send a topless picture.
However, Jones was being tricked as the account was fake.
He will be sentenced at Hereford Magistrates’ Court after pleading guilty to one count of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Prosecutor Camila Toscano stated Jones did not reasonably believe the 'child' to be over 16 and said he was speaking to the decoy for sexual gratification.
He was caught on July 3, after a month of communication.
During court proceedings, Jones was represented by solicitor Chris Aggrey and was released on conditional bail, which requires him to report to police and avoid unsupervised contact with children until sentencing.
