HE CHOKED A SEX WORKER UNTIL SHE PASSED OUT BEFORE REPEATEDLY RAPING HER
William Adesanya, 25, raped a sex worker and strangled her until she fell unconscious.During the incident, he turned up at her home in Cardiff, having booked an appointment, and during a 30-minute assault, he raped her three times, strangled her, and filmed the acts to "humiliate and degrade" her.
The victim said she wanted to "rip her skin off" after being raped and feeling "dirty" by his actions.
He was described as "calm" during the rapes, whispering "not to struggle".
She struggled to breathe when he placed her in a "bear hug" and threatened her, telling her "don’t panic, you just need to give me £200." The victim attempted to record the incident but he deleted her messages.
After leaving her on the floor, she regained consciousness with her shorts and underwear pulled down, and Adesanya continued to assault her.
He then pushed her into the bedroom, pushed her face onto the bed, and raped her again, filming the acts himself.
The court heard she was crying and pleading for him to stop, but he "could not care less." The court described her terror and fear for her life.
She called police afterwards, leading to his arrest.
Adesanya was found guilty of three counts of rape, one sexual assault, and one count of intentional strangulation.
The judge called him a "very dangerous individual" with a lack of insight and empathy, sentencing him to 16 years with a six-year extended license and imposing a restraining order and a ban from contact with sex workers.
The victim’s personal statement expressed her ongoing mental health struggles, loss of confidence, and feeling broken and unsafe.
