WAYNE BEESLEY OF WREXHAM JAILAGED FOR CHILD INDECENCY IMAGES AND VIDEOS IN 2017
In July 2017, Wayne Beesley, a 39-year-old employee of Wrexham Council, was sentenced to prison after being convicted of possessing and recording indecent images of children.Beesley had previously admitted to downloading images of lower categories, with authorities discovering more than 12,000 such images across computers, laptops, and hard drives seized from his home.
Despite his earlier admission, he was ultimately found guilty at Shrewsbury Crown Court of one count relating to 101 Category A images, which are among the most serious, along with two counts involving videos he had recorded of children.
The police executed a search at Beesley's residence in Brookfield Close, Weston Rhyn, near Oswestry, on December 5, 2016.
During the raid, they uncovered the images depicting the rape and torture of young children.
Prosecutor Paul Whitfield explained that officers seized multiple devices, including Beesley's phone, a tower PC, hard drives, and other equipment, discovering thousands of images and searches for notorious websites and data-wiping software.
The most serious images, which Beesley was convicted of possessing, were found in the recycle bin of his PC.
Additionally, less serious videos, which Beesley had personally filmed, were recovered from his LG mobile phone.

Whitfield noted that Beesley was interviewed twice by police: initially, he claimed nothing would be recovered from his devices, and during a subsequent interview, he entered a 'no comment' stance.
The prosecutor emphasized, "It is the crown's case that the defendant has a particular sexual interest in children." As a result of his convictions, Beesley was sentenced to 30 months in prison.
He was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life and placed under an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
This order restricts his possession of internet-enabled devices or items capable of taking photos, and he is prohibited from having unsupervised contact with children under 16.
