MAN BURSTS INTO VUNERABLE MAN’S HOME AND ASSAULTS CARER

Violent Tapu burst into a vulnerable man's home and beat up his friend before running off with her phone.

The man - who was in bed - was being cared for by the woman, who had left the door unlocked as she was expecting another friend.

Leeds Crown Court heard she had previously bought drugs off Tapu, who burst in with a machete, and began attacking her and using the sword to smash the TV.

When her phone dropped out of her pocket while she was on the floor, he took it and left the scene.

He was jailed for five years
