DELIVERY DRIVER PREPARES FOR JAIL AFTER SEX ATTACK ON LANDLORD
A Dundee delivery driver has admitted a shocking sexual attack on his landlord and now faces a custodial sentence.At Dundee Sheriff Court, Vincent Bastianelli conceded charges including assault with intent to rape.
As a result of his plea, he has been placed on the sex offenders register and is due to be sentenced in about eight weeks’ time.
 Police were called to an address on Bonnethill Court in Dundee following reports of the incident.
Authorities subsequently charged Bastianelli in connection with the alleged assault.
 The court heard the victim was the man who rented out accommodation to Bastianelli.
The delivery driver’s actions were serious enough to trigger criminal proceedings and a conviction on a sexual assault offence that requires registration as a sex offender.
 Bastianelli will return to court for sentencing after the standard pre-sentence procedures and reports are prepared.
