TYLER TOOTHILL SENTENCED IN BRADFORD AND KEIGHLEY FOR GROOMING AND SEXUAL ASSAULT ON 11-YEAR-OLD GIRL

In a case that has shocked the local communities of Bradford, Keighley, and Oakworth, Tyler Toothill, a 26-year-old man, has been handed a significant sentence following his involvement in a disturbing series of criminal acts targeting a young girl. The incident came to light after the girl, only 11 years old, confided in her peers about her interactions with Toothill, which eventually led to his arrest and subsequent court proceedings.

According to court records, Toothill, who resides in Goodley, Oakworth, Keighley, was charged with multiple serious offences related to grooming and sexual misconduct. The charges included two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, meeting a child after grooming, and sexual assault. These offences stemmed from a series of interactions that took place over a brief period, during which Toothill and the young girl exchanged messages and met in person on two separate occasions.

The court heard that the girl first became aware of Toothill after attending a social gathering, where she saw him and later began communicating with him via Facebook. Over the course of a few days, their online exchanges escalated, culminating in two physical meetings. The first meeting occurred in a Keighley graveyard, where the pair sat together, sharing kisses and holding hands. The second meeting took place at a local beck in Keighley, where they again shared a kiss. During this encounter, Toothill warned her to be cautious, expressing concern about the possibility of going to prison if caught.

Further details revealed that Toothill sent the girl photographs of himself wearing boxer shorts and asked her to send him pictures of herself. The young girl refused to comply with this request. When questioned by police about the messages and interactions, Toothill expressed his shock and claimed that he had been intoxicated at the time, which he said influenced his actions.

During the court hearing, Toothill’s legal representative, Sophie Drake, acknowledged her client’s remorse and his recognition of the need for help. She pointed out that he had pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity, demonstrating some level of remorse.

Judge Colin Burn delivered the sentence, which included a three-year community order with supervision and a requirement to attend a sex offender treatment programme. Additionally, Toothill was ordered to register as a sex offender for seven years, and a sexual offences prevention order was imposed for the same duration. The judge emphasized the gravity of Toothill’s actions, stating, “What you did was just utterly wrong,” underscoring the seriousness with which the court viewed the offences committed against the young girl in Bradford and Keighley.
