WOMANS SHOCKING SEXUAL ABUSE OF CHILDREN
In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Osbaldwick, York, North Yorkshire, Tracy Turnbull, a 33-year-old woman, was convicted of heinous sexual offenses involving a young boy.Turnbull, who now resides in Osbaldwick, was previously living in Bicester but was brought to justice following a series of alarming revelations during her trial.
According to court proceedings, Turnbull engaged in a series of depraved acts with a 12-year-old boy, whom she had coerced into sexual activity.
The incident came to light after the young victim, who is legally protected and therefore unnamed, confided in friends about the abuse.
This led to an investigation that uncovered the extent of Turnbull’s misconduct.
Oxford Crown Court heard that Turnbull had physically carried the boy into a bedroom, where she forced him to engage in sexual acts.
Evidence revealed that the boy was naked during the assault, while Turnbull was not wearing any underwear.
Despite his attempts to resist, he was unable to prevent her from carrying out the assault.
The court was told that the abuse occurred over a week in June of that year, during which Turnbull not only raped the boy but also involved a 10-year-old girl in her inappropriate and illegal activities.
The prosecution detailed how Turnbull manipulated the young boy into taking on a caretaker role, persuading him to cook for her, act as a 'man of the house,' and discipline her own children.
She also coerced him into rubbing lotion into the naked body of a girl aged 10, further demonstrating her disturbing pattern of exploitation.
During the trial, Turnbull was visibly distressed, sitting with her head in her hands as the evidence was presented.
She admitted to having sexual relations with the boy between June 19 and June 27, and was charged with multiple offenses, including sexual assault of a child, causing a child to engage in lewd acts, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
In sentencing, Mr.
Recorder Arthur Stevenson emphasised that her actions warranted a custodial sentence.
He described her conduct as “depraved” and made it clear that she deserved to be imprisoned.
Turnbull was sentenced to three years in prison but was told she would serve only 18 months before being released on license.
The judge also ordered her to seek psychological help during her supervised release period.
Furthermore, Turnbull was placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of her activities to protect the community from further harm.
Her case remains a stark reminder of the importance of vigilance and the devastating impact of abuse on vulnerable children.
