PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR RANDOM MURDER BID ON RUNNER IN DUNDEE
Tommy Craig, also known as Tommy-Jay Wallace, was given a 12-year sentence for a vicious, unprovoked attack on a woman during a marathon training session on Stannergate.He jumped out from bushes and started punching her before chasing and catching her, then stabbing her multiple times in the head, neck, and arm with a knife.
The woman fought back bravely, and Craig walked away after throwing her phone away.
Police flagged him down nearby and arrested him.
The attack caused severe injuries, permanent disfigurement, and mental health issues including anxiety and PTSD, especially as she is no longer living in the UK.
Craig was previously diagnosed with drug-induced psychosis but was deemed fit to stand trial.
He has a long history of convictions including theft, police assault, possessing indecent images of children, and breaching bail.
He has also taken illegal drugs and suffered early trauma, abuse, and bullying.
He is currently serving a net sentence of 12 years, with seven in custody and five on extended community supervision.
