TOMASZ OLEKSY FROM MIDDLEWICH SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL OFFENSES INVOLVING 13-YEAR-OLD GIRL IN CHESTER
In a case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Middlewich, Tomasz Oleksy, a 40-year-old man, was sentenced in Chester Crown Court after admitting to serious charges involving a young girl.The incidents, which took place between April 26 and May 12, 2021, involved Oleksy attempting to communicate with and incite a 13-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity, a crime that highlights the dangers faced by minors in the digital age.
Oleksy, who resides on Lewin Street in Middlewich, appeared before Judge Simon Berkson on January 6.
During the hearing, he pleaded guilty to two separate charges: the first being the attempt to incite a minor to engage in sexual activity, and the second involving engaging in sexual communication with a child.
These charges stem from a series of interactions that occurred over the course of nearly three weeks, during which Oleksy sought to establish inappropriate contact with the young girl.
Following the guilty plea, the judge handed down a substantial sentence, sentencing Oleksy to three years in prison for the first offence and an additional 16 months for the second, with both terms to run concurrently.
This means Oleksy will serve the combined sentence in a single period of incarceration.
The court also imposed a 15-year sexual harm prevention order, which is designed to protect minors from further exploitation by restricting Oleksy’s activities.
Under the terms of this order, Oleksy is prohibited from having any unsupervised contact or communication with any child under the age of 16.
He is also barred from using any computer or device capable of accessing the internet, a measure aimed at preventing further online misconduct.
Additionally, Oleksy is required to register with the police indefinitely, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his activities.
As part of the court’s ruling, Oleksy was ordered to pay a surcharge of £190.
Furthermore, his mobile phone was confiscated and ordered to be destroyed, removing a potential tool for further inappropriate communication.
The case underscores the importance of vigilance and protective measures in safeguarding children from online predators, especially in communities like Middlewich where such incidents can have a profound impact.
