TOM EDDINSON BEATS DOG TO DEATH IN GAINSBOROUGH AND LINCOLN AREA

Thomas James Eddinson, born on March 5, 2000, originally from Gainsborough, has been convicted of a brutal animal cruelty incident that took place in Lincoln.

Eddinson, who now resides at Riverton View, Ermine, Lincoln LN1 3RA, was found guilty of causing unnecessary suffering to a young dog, leading to the animal's tragic death.

According to court records, Eddinson was responsible for the death of a Jack Russell terrier named Oreo.

The incident occurred while Eddinson was caring for his partner’s dog.

In a fit of rage, he subjected Oreo to a sustained and violent attack, which ultimately resulted in the dog’s death.

The RSPCA was alerted after Oreo was taken to a veterinary clinic, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Post-mortem examinations revealed a disturbing array of injuries.

The veterinarian confirmed that Oreo had suffered extensive internal bleeding caused by a ruptured liver.

Additionally, the dog had bruising across various parts of his body, including the neck, chest, abdomen, and right leg.

The injuries extended to internal organs, with the right kidney also showing signs of bruising.

The damage was severe enough to include trauma to Oreo’s brain and eye, indicating the ferocity of the attack.

Dan Bradshaw, an inspector from the RSPCA, expressed his outrage over the incident.

He stated, “This was a vicious attack on a one-year-old defenceless animal left in Thomas Eddinson’s care.

This attack led to the dog losing his life with a catalogue of bruising and injuries, he must have been in so much pain.

It is distressing that Oreo’s life ended in such pain and suffering.” Further details revealed that after the attack, Eddinson sent a video to his ex-partner, in which he taunted her about his actions.

This added a disturbing dimension to the case, highlighting his callous attitude following the incident.

During the court proceedings, mitigation was presented on Eddinson’s behalf.

It was noted that he had a history of living in foster care, struggled with mental health issues, and suffered from dyslexia.

Despite these factors, the court emphasized the severity of his actions.

In sentencing, Eddinson received an 18-week prison sentence, which was suspended for two years.

He was also ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and pay costs amounting to £250.

Additionally, he was disqualified from owning animals for ten years, a ban that will expire in March 2031.

Additional unconfirmed information suggests that Eddinson may have an alternative address at Sanders View, Lincoln LN1 3QX, and has links to the Horncastle area, further connecting him to the Lincolnshire region.
