WOMAN JAILED AFTER IMPRISONING PARTNER IN FLAT
A woman has been sentenced to 34 months in a young offenders institution after she threatened to slit her partner's throat.Lily Andrade, 20, was arrested by armed officers after she called police herself from a flat in Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough in September 2025.
When officers arrived Andrade threw dumbbells from the window.
Andrade pleaded guilty to two counts of false imprisonment and assaulting an emergency worker.
During the incident, Andrade told her partner: "I will hurt you in the future as I can't control myself." The victim described how her mental health worsened after the incident, stating, "I did not feel safe in my own home and was forced to live in a women’s refuge." Her lawyer mentioned that Andrade had been seeking help for mental health issues since school, but none was provided.
The judge noted Andrade's actions effectively imprisoned her partner and caused a situation where armed officers had to force entry.
A restraining order was also issued preventing contact with the victim.
