LINCOLNSHIRE POLICE VOLUNTEER CHARGED WITH SEXUAL TOUCHING
A former cadet leader and volunteer at a Lincolnshire police station has been charged with sexual touching.It is alleged that on Friday, May 9 Timothy Smith intentionally touched a woman over 16 years.
It is alleged that the touching was sexual when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe she was consenting.
The 66-year-old has resigned from his position as a volunteer at Holbeach Police Station and as a cadet leader at Spalding.
Lincolnshire Police confirmed that the charge does not relate to a young person or person connected to the Volunteer Police Cadet programme.
Smith has been charged and bailed to appear at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 3.
An update from Lincolnshire Police on Wednesday, September 3 states: 'Timothy Smith, aged 66, who was based at Holbeach, has been charged and bailed to appear at Nottinghamshire Magistrates’ Court on 3 October 2025.
Smith is charged with an offence of sexual touching.
