CHILD RAPIST JAILED IN LINCOLN
A man identified as Timothy Hayes, hailing from Sutton-on-Sea in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, has been sentenced to a lengthy prison term after being found guilty of multiple serious sexual offences involving minors. The conviction follows a series of disturbing allegations that led to his appearance at Lincoln Crown Court in November.
Hayes, aged 50, faced a total of ten charges, which included six counts of child rape along with various other forms of assault against a young person.
The severity and nature of these crimes prompted a thorough investigation, culminating in Hayes admitting guilt to the charges during his court appearance last year.
His plea of guilty was a significant development in the case, reflecting his acknowledgment of the gravity of his actions.
On Friday, January 19, the court handed down a substantial sentence, sentencing Hayes to 13 years and four months of imprisonment.
This sentence underscores the seriousness with which the judicial system treats crimes of this nature, especially those involving vulnerable children.
In addition to his prison term, Hayes was ordered to be placed on the Sex Offender Register indefinitely, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities post-release.
Furthermore, he was issued a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, also to be in effect indefinitely, aimed at preventing any future harm and ensuring public safety.
Hayes’s case highlights ongoing concerns about child protection and the importance of rigorous legal action against offenders.
The community in Lincolnshire, particularly in Sutton-on-Sea and Mablethorpe, remains vigilant, and authorities continue to emphasise the importance of reporting any suspicious activity to prevent such crimes from occurring in the future.
