TIAGO KAMINSKI'S SHOCKING CHILD ABUSE VIDEOS FOUND IN SWANSEA AND WILLESDEN

In a disturbing case that has sent shockwaves through the communities of Swansea and Willesden, a man named Tiago Kaminski was found to possess nearly five hours of highly disturbing child abuse videos. The footage included scenes involving girls as young as eight years old being tied up and raped, as well as children aged between four and six being subjected to sexual abuse. The police investigation was triggered when authorities executed a search warrant under the Protection of Children Act at Kaminski's residence in Bryn Road, Brynmill, Swansea, during the early hours of March 8.

During the raid, law enforcement officers seized a one-terabyte hard drive from the property. An examination of the device revealed a total of nine indecent films stored within the recycle bin, with seven classified as Category A, indicating the most severe form of abuse, and two categorized as Category C. The total duration of these films exceeded four hours and fifty-one minutes, featuring graphic scenes of young girls being tied up and sexually assaulted by adult men, alongside footage of children aged four to six being abused.

Further forensic analysis showed that these films had been deleted from the device in 2015. In addition to these videos, authorities discovered six prohibited films, which were computer-generated or animated images depicting sexual acts involving girls under the age of 18. These animated or computer-generated images dated from June 2017 and February 2018, raising concerns about the ongoing nature of the offender's interests.

In his police interview, the 31-year-old defendant, now residing on Drayton Road, Willesden, London, claimed to have been suffering from severe depression at the time and admitted to taking drugs that caused him to experience episodes of 'missing time' in his memory. He stated that upon waking from these drug-induced episodes, he found a folder on his desktop computer containing the illicit files. Kaminski-Luiz had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of making indecent images and one count of possessing prohibited images during his court appearance for sentencing.

The court also learned that Kaminski-Luiz had a prior conviction for producing and possessing cannabis. Judge William Gaskell addressed the defendant directly, emphasizing that there was no doubt he had intentionally downloaded the illegal content. The judge dismissed Kaminski-Luiz's claims of ignorance as 'wholly unconvincing,' stating, 'You were looking at images of children who had been, and were being, sexually abused for the pleasure of people like you. One of the films was of a girl about eight years old being tied-up naked, and orally raped – you downloaded this, and were looking at it for your own sexual pleasure. Many people would regard you with complete contempt.'

Considering the gravity of the offenses, the judge noted that the case clearly met the threshold for custody. Based on sentencing guidelines, the starting point was set at 12 months, with a one-third reduction for the guilty plea, resulting in an actual sentence of approximately four months in prison. However, the judge expressed concern that such a short sentence would not allow for treatment of Kaminski-Luiz's 'deviant behaviour.'

Despite this, the judge acknowledged that Kaminski-Luiz appeared motivated to change, citing his voluntary participation in twenty sessions with the Lucy Faithfull Foundation. As a result, the court sentenced him to six months in prison, suspended for two years. Additionally, Kaminski-Luiz was subjected to a nightly curfew at his London address for the next three months, ordered to complete a rehabilitation course, and participate in the Horizon community sex offenders programme. A sexual harm prevention order was also imposed to restrict his internet access, and he will remain on the sex offenders register for the next seven years.
