A PAEDOPHILE has been jailed for three years for sex offences involving a girl under the age of 13.

Thomas Worsfold pleaded guilty to two charges at Worcester Crown Court.

The prosecution revealed that he attempted to engage in sexual communication with a child and tried to incite a female child under 13 to sexual activity.

The offences were committed between January and March last year.

Worsfold, of Sutton St Nicholas near Hereford, was sentenced on May 31.

He is now on the sex offenders register and has a sexual harm prevention order.

He must pay a victim surcharge of £228.
