WELLINGTON MAN JAILED FOR IMAGES OF CHILD ABUSE
Thomas Sheridan, aged 33 and residing on Plough Road in Wellington, was involved in sharing and possessing indecent images of children as young as four years old.He was apprehended on November 9, 2021, when police visited his residence and confiscated his phone.
At Shrewsbury Crown Court, Sheridan admitted to four charges: three counts of making indecent images of children, categorized as A, B, and C, and one charge of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
Prosecutor Danny Smith informed the court that Sheridan possessed 43 category A images, with 12 being readily accessible and 31 inaccessible; two category B images, one accessible and one inaccessible; and 15 category C images, which were also inaccessible.
Some of these images depicted children as young as four years old being sexually abused by adults, with the age of children ranging from four to twelve.
Sheridan’s actions have resulted in his sentencing for these serious offenses, illustrating a grave case of child sexual exploitation.
