MAN BEHIND BARS FOR SEXUAL OFFENCES
A man from Woking has received a prison sentence of four years and nine months after being convicted of multiple historic sexual offences involving two girls who were 14 and 15 years old at the time of the incidents.Thomas Pattison, aged 32 (born 23 September 1991), committed these offences between 2013 and 2014.
The evidence of his misconduct was uncovered after one of the victims reported to authorities that she had been involved in a sexual relationship with Pattison.
Subsequently, another victim came forward.
Officers seized Pattison’s mobile phone and discovered messages that supported one of the accounts, while witness inquiries confirmed the details of the other.
The sentencing took place at Guildford Crown Court and was partially heard on Tuesday, 6 February, with the victims present.
The hearing was adjourned to allow the judge to decide on the final sentence later in the week.
On Friday, 9 February, Pattison was sentenced for seven counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a minor, after having previously pleaded guilty during a pre-trial hearing.
He will serve his sentence in prison, after which he will be released on license.
Additionally, he is subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
