FOSTER FATHER WHO SEXUALLY ABUSED THREE VULNERABLE GIRLS PLACED INTO HIS CARE WAS SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IN PRISON. THOMAS JUDGE
A foster father who sexually abused three vulnerable girls placed into his care was sentenced to seven years in prison.
Thomas Judge, 55, who was also on the board of trustees for a fostering network, molested two victims at a yacht marina where he berthed his boat.
The High Court in Edinburgh was told he had "perpetrated a prolonged course of sexual abuse of quite the most offensive kind".
Lord Turnbull highlighted the "almost immeasurable abuse of trust and responsibility" involved.
Judge, who was convicted after a trial, had initially denied the allegations.
His abuse began in 1996 when a girl was just nine, with subsequent victims being abused from age 11 and in 2005.
He fostered over 100 children with his wife since 1995.
