EDINBURGH MAN CAUGHT WITH 159 CHILD ABUSE IMAGES IN SHOCKING COURT CASE
A man was found in possession of sick child sex abuse images after police launched an investigation into a separate incident.Thomas Carver was arrested at Edinburgh Airport in July last year when he told law enforcement officers his mobile phone was within his car parked at Skyport parking in Linwood’s Burnbrae Drive.
Officers later seized Carver's phone and discovered it contained over 100 indecent images of children.
The forensic examination identified 159 indecent images, including 45 categorized as Category A, 31 as Category B, and 83 as Category C.
The images and videos shown detailed sexual abuse of children as young as four years old.
An arrest warrant was executed for Carver, who resides at Oak Terrace, Murton, Durham.
The court heard highly distressing details about the images recovered.
The Crown proposed a sexual harm prevention order to protect the public.
Carver, who had his bail extended, was placed on the sex offenders' register.
The case is scheduled for further hearing on October 31, during which various reports and assessments will be considered.
